The PrayerCares Story

Harnessing Technology for God

Pastor Jim, the creator of PrayerCares, has been a missionary and church planter most of his life. He grew up in Nigeria, West Africa, the oldest child of missionaries. After the Seminary, he planted two congregations before being called by his church body to be an Urban Missionary among immigrants. Pastor Jim has focused on prayer, planting house churches, and leadership development throughout his ministry.  Pastor Jim currently serves Faith Lutheran Church in Lake Forest, IL, and has established worship communities among Spanish speaking people.

Pastor Jim also serves as a Wing Chaplain for the Air National Guard and was chosen as the 2015 Chaplain of the year.  He is the only Chaplain in the Air Force to have received Lean Six Sigma certification, which can be leveraged by your ministry through this app. Through his work as a missionary, Pastor Jim has found creative ways to harness technology for God. Whether it’s developing long-distance Bible studies, sending out videos, or building PrayerCares, Pastor Jim is dedicated to connecting people in prayer from around the world.
